Notice Regarding Leakage of Customer Personal Information Due to Unauthorized Access
The privacy and security of the personal information we maintain are of the utmost importance to iRhythm Holdings, Inc. (“iRhythm”). We are writing to provide important information about a recent cybersecurity incident that affected some of our customers’ information. Below, we explain what occurred and the important steps we continue to take to protect your personal information. We sincerely apologize for the concern and inconvenience this has caused.
What Happened
On or about June 8, 2026, iRhythm detected unauthorized access to certain business applications hosted by a third party.
What We Are Doing
After detecting the unauthorized access, we promptly activated our incident response plan. As part of our investigation, we worked closely with external cybersecurity experts who have extensive experience responding to incidents of this nature. Upon completing the investigation, we determined that, between June 3 and June 8, 2026, certain patient data maintained by iRhythm was accessed and downloaded by an unauthorized third party.
Information Involved
After completing the investigation, we conducted a review to identify the contents of the affected data. We determined that the affected data may have included the name, iRhythm account number, and iRhythm device serial number of customers in Japan. The medical records and health information of customers in Japan were not affected by this incident.
What You Can Do
At this time, we have found no evidence that your information has been or will be used for identity theft or any other fraudulent purpose. Please remain vigilant for suspicious communications or activity from anyone claiming to be iRhythm or your healthcare provider.
