The goal of Medical Affairs is to advance the field of ambulatory cardiac monitoring through strategic medical affairs initiatives.

We do this through collaboration with clinicians, cutting-edge research, and comprehensive education for healthcare providers. Through these efforts, we aim to enhance patient care and outcomes, streamline clinical workflows, and position ourselves as leaders in cardiovascular healthcare.

iRhythm partners with clinicians on investigator-initiated research

Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR), also called Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS), is designed and conducted independently by Investigators who also serve as the study Sponsor. IIR may be supported by iRhythm in the form of providing ambulatory cardiac monitoring service and data.

iRhythm supports healthcare organizations with funding for educational initiatives.

Requests are reviewed for relevant content associated to iRhythm's mission and priorities. Some relevant areas include education on ambulatory cardiac monitoring, AI and data, diagnosing AFib, and clinical use cases.

The Zio™ service is a long-term continuous ambulatory cardiac monitoring service. It consists of the Zio™ monitor that collects beat-to-beat ECG data and can be worn for up to 14 days; the Zio™ ECG Utilization Service (ZEUS) System deep learned algorithm, which detects arrhythmias. The data is reviewed and curated by a team of Qualified ECG Specialists (QES) to provide the final patient report.
