INSURANCE & ZIO

iRhythm is committed to enabling better patient outcomes while providing an easy monitoring experience.

Zio® monitoring service is covered by many major commercial insurance providers in the US and Medicare1 due to its proven ability to help your doctor make confident care decisions. In addition, we have multiple programs in place to ensure that you can afford the care you deserve.

Please feel free to reach out to us at any time with any questions.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Please note: some healthcare providers will bill your insurance directly for the Zio ECG (electrocardiogram) monitor. In this case, you will not receive a bill from iRhythm and the information below does not apply to you. We recommend that you ask your doctor if iRhythm will be sending a bill to you for the Zio ECG monitor.

Our team of dedicated patient advocates is available at (888) 693-2401 to answer any questions you may have about your potential cost.

Please note that depending on your insurance plan and healthcare provider, you may receive a separate bill from your doctor for their services.

Overview

Depending on your health insurance plan and benefits, you may owe a portion of the Zio ECG monitor cost. The amount you will owe is determined by your insurance company and can vary.

Our dedicated team of patient advocates is available any time throughout your monitoring experience to help you learn more about your insurance benefits and any potential out-of-pocket costs.

For any questions about your potential cost, please call (888) 693-2401 to speak with an iRhythm patient advocate.

iRhythm offers several payment options tailored to our patient’s needs. Our Patient Financial Navigators are standing by to discuss these payment options, including:

When to Expect Your Bill

An Explanation of Benefits (EOB) will arrive 3-6 weeks after you have mailed back your Zio ECG monitor at the end of your test period.

If you choose to have iRhythm submit your claim, you may receive an EOB from your insurance company. The EOB from your insurer is NOT a bill and the amount shown may be more than your total out-of-pocket responsibility. You do not need to reply to the EOB; please keep it for your records.

No payments are due until you receive a bill from iRhythm. We will work on your behalf to ensure that your insurance company has processed the claim at the highest benefit level to minimize your out-of-pocket costs. This could result in your patient statement showing an amount due that is less than the amount due on your EOB. Please note that depending on your insurance plan and healthcare provider, you may receive a separate bill from your doctor for their services.

Your iRhythm bill will arrive 3 to 6 months after you have received the Explanation of Benefits
You will receive a bill from iRhythm if there is any amount owed after your insurance company has processed your claim and any appeals submitted by iRhythm on your behalf have been completed.

The amount you owe is determined by your insurance company based on your plan and benefits. Your patient share will be reflected in the final bill from iRhythm and can vary.

For any questions about your bill, please call (888) 693-2401 to speak with an iRhythm Patient Advocate.
