Kevin J. Ferrick, MD is an Attending Physician at Montefiore Medical Center. His clinical focus is on cardiovascular risk stratification, as well as the management of ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, device based treatment of ventricular arrhythmias, and ablation of cardiac arrhythmias. Dr. Ferrick joined the Montefiore team in 1988.
Dr. Ferrick’s research focuses on noninvasive cardiovascular risk stratification, the management of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, and the effect of demographic diversity on cardiovascular risk. He has published over 250 articles, abstracts, and book chapters. He is a sought after speaker having given numerous presentations at both national and international scientific meetings, lectures, and seminars.
Dr. Ferrick was the recipient of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology Young Investigator Award in 1984 and has been named by both NY Magazine and Castle Connolly’s as a Best Doctor. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been awarded fellow status by the American College of Physicians, The American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. Dr. Ferrick is a reviewer for multiple scientific journals including Heart Rhythm, Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, Journal of Cardiac Electrophysiology and the American Journal of Cardiology.
